Thirty august 2011 our big adventure started in Hoedspruit.

During our six week internship we have done a lot of activities. Every day we went to the stables for trail rides, lessons and to work on our internship assignment. In the weekends we had spare time, so we could work on our report. But we also did fun things like jet skiing, watch rugby and sitting by the pool.

Every Friday night we went out for dinner by Sleepers. After the very nice dinner we went to Safari’s to party. Traci didn’t like our Dutch dance moves, but we think we are the best dancers.

During our stay we did also game drives with Glen. Glen taught us a lot of the bush. There is one thing we will never forget. That was the Elephant that came (too) close to the car. Besides the riding and the game drives we also did other activities like an elephant ride, walk with the wild, tubing down the Blyde River, visit the Kruger National Park, shooting and golfing (golf cart riding). Every Wednesday it was cooking night for the students. The first time we had to cook we made the best meatballs ever. The second time we made bitterballen. After dinner we played some typical Dutch games. We taught the family how to play ‘spij kerpoepen’. Oupa Jim was also very good in it.

It was the most awesome internship ever!

First of all we want to thank Traci, Glen, Ryan, Shannon and Oupa Jim for the awesome time here in Hoedspruit. Secondly we would like to thank Rachel, Amanda, Eliza, Ilse, Alex, Laura and the other students, for the nice time we had together. Thirdly we want to thank Nicola, David and Natasha for all the help and nice time at the stables. And last but not least we want to thank Francois for the fun times.

Take Care all of you at African Dream!
